Houses, Trees etc: Waukegan and Zion

Van Patten Woods and Waters
I learned to love water and nature from my maternal grandfather and grandmother; papaw and mamaw.
I know they would have loved this area, although on a smaller scale than we were used to.

Pictures from around Zion and Waukegan

This area is so full of nature. There are parks and trails and beaches and trees...so many different species of trees. But the trees will be a separate post. These pictures are just a hodge-podge of pictures from the direct, surrounding area. It is really pretty here.

Zion, IL: My apt and surroundings

My company found the apt and had it furnished. It is nice but a little weird because there are no chachkies (-1 spelling...I can't even find how to spell it on google) and there are no pictures on the walls. But this is my temporary crib:
This is the TV with a hologram of Kathy Griffin: I never claimed to be a photographer
View from out the window from the couch
View from the LV room window to the next property
Bathroom: Please notice the "flower" made out of a washcloth
Sorry for the blurry pic of the kitchen
Back of the apts...notice the Xmas trees...they are all over...
This is the front of the apt. It is called Wildflower and there are some amazing flowers that seem to double in size every day.
This is the other side of the entry way to Wildflower.
These are Homecoming Mums in their natural habitat in June. They will be doubled in size in one month.
Here they are in July, one month later.
Here is your bonus Newton pic...laying on the couch in the Zion apt.
