Bike Ride: Zion Trail
I had one of the best days I have had in the three months I have been up north in Zion, Illinois. I rented a bike on an overcast, drizzly day and just rode for two hours. I was only a quarter mile from civilization but it seemed like a different world. As I rode the breeze and moisture felt great despite the muggy 80 degree weather. When I stopped to take pictures the bugs nearly carried me away.
This tree was really cool. It has moss growing on the tops of the limbs only.
The picture below shows the fog and atmosphere.
I am not sure if this sign depicts a drowning swimmer or the ghost of a dead one.
This is the train station in Zion. It is so small, quaint and old fashioned. The man in front OK'd me taking his picture. He was the only person I saw for two hours. I wish I had a basket on the bike to take him with me.
One of the houses on the secluded bike trail.
The view from the back yard.
Bike trail home... or is it? Am I lost??
I will end with good news: I found and saved Rapunzel!

Weeping Willow Park
I love the Weeping Willow tree. Up here in Illinois it seems like most of them are growing around small bodies of water. This park is right down the street and I wanted to stop ever since I first saw it. So Thursday before work Newton and I hung out for about an hour.
Newton was not too sure about the bridge.
But then he pulled me across.
Can you find the puppy?
Newton and I thank you for sharing our day!
Actually, Newton could not care less....SQUIRREL!
